Duke Riley's Rematch: Brooklyn
Join us for the American broadcast of Duke Riley's The Rematch, a river race between the animals of the Chinese Zodiac. Representatives of the various species will be on hand to hedge your bets. Performance by Lara Allen. Dress in your Shanghai casino best.
The Rematch is taking place in Zhujiajiao, China, a water village on the outskirts of Shanghai, on April 15. The 12 zodiac animals will redo the race, which according to mythology was won by the scheming rat. This New York City viewing party is a special opportunity to see the race and get in on a little competitive wagering.
Statement from Duke:
"Gambling is illegal.
Naturally, I would never encourage anyone to make a mockery of the law under any circumstances. However, you can choose to pay as much for admission as you like, in increments of $10. It is believed that being more generous with your "admission fee" could greatly improve your luck and fortune during this non-gambling event*. We do expect that gentlemanly wagers will be made during the course of the evening, and it is possible that due to the generosity of the proprietors of the club, somebody might leave with a large sum of money. Additionally, a large sum of money may be donated to the cause of liberating the animals of the Rematch from the shitty conditions they currently live in."
*Your admission fee 'supports' one animal of the Zodiac. You may purchase additional admission fees at the event, if you choose to support that animal again, or another in addition.
Doors open at 6 pm. The broadcast will begin at 8 pm. Tickets are available pre-sale only. Each participant must make a separate transaction for admission.
