Beneath The Waves - 23rd Annual Crab Feed
On January 16, 2016, the Active 20-30 Club of Greater Sacramento #1032 will be hosting our 23rd Annual Crab Feed at Scottish Rite Masonic Center in Sacramento. This sell-out event will be attended by more than 600 guests. Guests will enjoy an evening of "all you-can-eat" crab, clam chowder, pasta, salad, and bread. Beer, Wine, Soda, & Coffee refreshments included.
All proceeds from this event will benefit the following major beneficiaries as well as other Sacramento children's charities:
CCHAT (Children's Choice in Hearing and Talking) Center:
CCHAT Center Sacramento is a unique auditory/oral school whose mission is to teach children who are deaf and hard of hearing to listen and develop spoken language.
River City Food Bank:
As Sacramento's oldest, continuously-serving food bank, whose mission is to alleviate hunger in Sacramento County by providing healthy emergency food and other assistance, offering referrals and promoting self-sufficiency through a variety of programs.
This event is non-refundable.

**Please note**
There have been recent notices in the media about toxic Dungeness crab. The warnings are about the consumption of Dungeness crab from the states of Oregon and California that have potential deadly levels of domoic acid.
The Active 20-30 Club has confirmed with our crab distributor that the crab we will obtain for our Crab Feed, scheduled on January 16, 2016, is not provided from Oregon and California. The crab is sourced from the southern part of Washington State, Canada, and Alaska. The Active 20-30 Club will continue to monitor the crab market to inform guests of any pertinent updates.
