In Conversation: Ebony G. Patterson
Join artist Ebony G. Patterson, as she takes to the Theater at MAD with exhibition curator Karen Patterson for an evening discussion exploring the recently opened exhibition Ebony G. Patterson: Dead Treez. Exploring social and political issues within the gender-bending subculture of Jamaica's dancehall community, Ebony G. Patterson: Dead Treez examines the pageantry of the dancehall culture and reveals it to be much more than spectacle; it is also a window into working-class Jamaican society. Together, Patterson and Patterson reveal how this rich culture inspired the creation of works on view.
