Łukasz Kazek, on lands formerly belonging to Nazi Germany, finds deposits hidden there by the inhabitants who had to leave their houses hurriedly. The Pole finds owners of lockers so that sentimental treasures - photos, documents and personal mementos could be returned to them after seventy years.

Łukasz Kazek, na terenach dawniej należących do hitlerowskich Niemiec, znajduje rzeczy ukryte przez poprzednich mieszkańców, którzy musieli w pośpiechu opuścić swoje domy. Polak odnajduje właścicieli szkatułki i sentymentalne skarby - zdjęcia, dokumenty i osobiste pamiątki - zostają im zwrócone po siedemdziesięciu latach.

Piotr, who lived in Poland for 22 years, only after 20 years abroad learnt that 350 yards away from his family home 42 people had been murdered in the Kielce pogrom on 4 July 1946. A phone conversation with his mother reveals this unknown fact from the family history. In order to fully explain the matter, Piotr comes to Poland, to his parents' house. Nothing will remain unambiguous in the maze of facts, interpretations of events and emotions.

Piotr przeżył w Polsce 22 lata, ale dopiero po 20 latach spędzonych na emigracji dowiaduje się, że 300 metrów od jego rodzinnego domu, 4 lipca 1946 roku miał miejsce pogrom kielecki, w którym zamordowano 42 osoby. Telefoniczna rozmowa z matką ujawnia nieznany fakt z historii rodziny. Aby wyjaśnić sprawę do końca, Piotr przyjeżdża do Polski, do domu rodziców. Gmatwanina faktów, interpretacji wydarzeń, a przede wszystkim emocje sprawią, że nic nie będzie już jednoznaczne.
