The Outsiders
The Atascadero High School Theatre Arts Department brings to life this familiar, dramatic coming-of-age story in a vulnerable and accessible retelling of the famous book written at fifteen by SE Hinton. In this story we meet Ponyboy Curtis and his friends, his family, and the greasers who are caught in a city-wide feud. Ponyboy's glimpse of the peaceful, bright life calling to him from beyond the hate and violence is heartbreaking, and, ultimately inspiring. This work is dramatic in nature and content may not be suitable for all ages. This play would best suit students in grades 6 and up.
