The Barn Players Present

THE PRODUCERS

Book by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan
Music and Lyrics by Mel Brooks
Based on the 1968 Film
Directed by Jason R. Smith
Musical Direction by Paul Morel

A down-on-his-luck Broadway producer and his mild-mannered accountant come up with a scheme to produce the most notorious flop in history thereby bilking their backers (all "little old ladies") out of millions of dollars. Only one thing goes awry: the show is a smash hit! The antics of Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom as they maneuver their way fecklessly through finding a show (the gloriously offensive "Springtime For Hitler"), hiring a director, raising the money and finally going to prison for their misdeeds is a lesson in broad comic construction. At the core of the insanely funny adventure is a poignant emotional journey of two very different men who become friends. Winner of a record-breaking 12 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, during the 2000  2001 Broadway season.

Q&A

Question: Is there any way to reserve tickets to the Monday night performance.
Answer: Hi there. Our industry night performances have always been kind of "free for all," meaning we don't have any reserved or pre-sold tickets on those nights, and general admission as well. We have, on rare occasion, made exceptions to those rules. Your best bet is to email admin@thebarnplayers.org if you have any other questions. Thank you!

Question: When purchasing tickets for a single, regular performance (i.e., not Industry Night), are seats reserved? My wife and I are bringing 3 students to a show and need seats together.
Answer: Hi there. Reserving specific seats is actually a perk we reserve for our Season Flex Pass holders, as well as patrons who need wheelchair or other special accommodations. All our other tickets are for general admission. The house opens for seating one half hour prior to curtain, but it's usually by fifteen until curtain that finding seats together can become a bit of a squeeze.
