Herbal First Aid
PLANT ALLIES FOR BICYCLISTS
About the Class:
In this 2-hour workshop, we'll talk about bike-portable remedies that you can make yourself to address common roadside ailments like scrapes, sunburn, dehydration, and achy, sore muscles. Once you learn the plants, you can pick them fresh and make your own bike-portable medicine. There will be a demonstration herbal first-aid kit to unpack, and some plant medicine to make and take home. No experience necessary.
Class is $20-$30 sliding scale.
About the Teacher:
Ali Budner is a western herbalist based in the Bay Area who studied plant medicine at Red Moon Herbs (NC) and the Ohlone Herbal Center (CA) and is creating a medicinal-plant garden in San Francisco. Besides being an herbalist and daily bike commuter, she co-produces KALW's "Your Call" radio in San Francisco.
