NOBT Presents The Nutcracker at The Orpheum
The Nutcracker is a holiday classic the world over--it's the unforgettable tale of Marie Stahlbaum, her toy Nutcracker, and their adventures through the fantastical Land of Sweets. This year, New Orleans Ballet Theatre is bringing The Nutcracker to the literal and figurative heart of New Orleans through our partnership with the newly-renovated Orpheum Theater. This iconic landmark, destroyed 10 years ago by Hurricane Katrina, has come back reinvigorated and more stunning than ever before. This exciting partnership symbolizes the return of the arts to downtown New Orleans by two reimagined, local organizations that seek to be at the vanguard of art-making in New Orleans and beyond. It's a new era for dance in New Orleans, so come be a part it!
