Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead
If you like Hamlet you'll love Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. These two characters appear in Shakespeare's Hamlet as Hamlet's good friends. They are commissioned by Gertrude and Claudius (Hamlet's Mother and "Uncle/Step-Father") to discover what is troubling poor Hamlet. There is a play within a play, and then disappear until the end of Hamlet- where we discover that Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead!
Stoppard picks up where Shakespeare left off in a hilarious chain of events leading up to their tragic demise.
Directed by Jeremy Lindholm (Jacob Marley, Complete History of America) Starring Damon Abdallah (Visiting Mr. Green, Jacob Marley, Fully Committed), Ginny Abdallah (Complete History of America, Jacob Marley, Fully Committed) and newcomers to the Merc, Dan Anderson and Damon Mentzer. Also look for a supporting cast of local Methow Valley talents.
