Research Building 3 at Nationwide Children's Hospital Technical Building Tour
This tour will focus on technical and engineering innovations which provide a high level of energy savings within the laboratory environment. The use of BIM and integrated design process will be discussed during a presentation prior to the tour. Specialized software and energy modeling utilized during the design process will be featured. During the tour, the realization of these spaces will be highlighted. The sustainable qualities of the work environment and efficient support for those spaces will be discussed. The programmatic integration of collaborative spaces with the lab bench format will be featured during the tour, as well as a basic review of the programmatic components of laboratory design.
