Studio B Presents: THE STORY SLAM

Are you the ROWDY RODDY PIPER of raconteurs? Can you PILEDRIVER your witty anecdote into the hearts and minds of a live audience? Do you have an entrance theme?

Then slam down your best 5-minute yarn at the Story Slam! Cold beers and dropkicks await!

Here's how it works: you polish that story (can be written or extemporaneous), practice it in front of your cat, work out the kinks. Then, you show up at the SLAM, put your name in the hat, and have a seat (and a beer).

We'll draw names out of a hat ... one storyteller at a time. If you hear your name, you hop up, adjust the mic, and let it rip. If you pass the 5-minute mark, you will be severely chastised by a bored audience and an aggressive keyboard player.

Sit back down. Look around nervously. Deep breath.

After 10 writers, we put it in the hands of 3 masterful literary agents. They'll agonize over who was best. You'll have another beer.

At last, a winner will be named! If it's you, you're a heavyweight!!! If it's not, you're still a significant weight. Er... something.

And if you just want to listen, by all means do.
