Workshops at the Arizona Burlesque Festival

The Arizona Burlesque Festival is offering classes with burlesque stars from around the country on October 16 & 17! Join us at Pima West campus for classes filled with sexy fun, learning, and meeting new people. All levels are welcome! Save $10 by purchasing a weekend pass for $50! Individual class price is $15.

Class offerings:

Friday, October 16:
2:00-3:00: The Art of Seduction (Egypt Blaque Knyle):
Learn the Art of Entrancement by building anticipation through sexy, sensual and exotic movement. This class is for the Naughty Girl not the Faint of Heart (Lap dancing, Wall playing, floor work). Bring heels and an open mind.

Saturday, October 17:
1:00-2:00: Flirty and Fit (Matt Finish):
Firm and tone your entire body in this flirty and fun exercise class! Each class will include cardio and strengthening exercises that emphasize the physicality, flexibility and technique used by burlesque performers! Not a burlesque performer? That's ok! This full body workout will firm and tone you in all the right places. Participants should wear form fitting exercise clothes, comfortable shoes, and bring a towel and water bottle.

2:00-3:00: Tips from a Producer: How to Get Booked (Sydni Deveraux):
So you want to dive in to the burlesque pool? Learn some tricks and tips on how to professionally present yourself, learn backstage etiquette, talk about your performing experience with bookers, negotiate pay, online promotions with social networking emphasis, and most importantly deal with the producers who book you!

3:00-4:00:Walking in Heels: Showgirl Strut (Sydni Deveraux):
Put your best foot forward! Learn to walk with elegance, strength and poise. Play with different tempos and variations. Explore options to find the best walk for your body and your persona. Bring shoes.
