Steel Magnolias
All of the action of the play takes place solely on one set, Truvy's beauty salon, which is part of her house. There are only six characters (all female) who appear onstage;
The close-knit relationships between six ordinary Southern women are real and unpretentious, and the play revolves around humorous, small, everyday events and good-natured quips. Seriousness and heartache also are displayed. Through the laughs and tears, the women deal with hard times and small triumphs. Featuring Jacinda Rose Swinehart as Truvy, Lucille Petty as Annelle, Roxanne Harley as Clairee, Amy Almquist as M'Lynn, Dani Dryer as Shelby and Martie van der Voort as Ouiser.
