BAREFOOT IN THE PARK
Neil Simon's classic screwball comedy (and his first major hit) tells the story of a freshly minted pair of newlywed's -- a carefree young dynamo in the mold of Claudette Colbert or Katherine Heburn and a thoroughly stuffed shirt budding lawyer who's 35 going on 55. On top of the pitfalls associated with starting married life together throw into the mix a delapidated 5-story walk-up apartment with no elevator, a rather curious raconteur of a neighbor, plus the none-too-typical mother-in-law -- and you have the ingredients for comic perfection!
