¡Alegría! Melodia Fall Concert November 21, 2015
This fall, Melodia presents a concert of beautiful music sung in Spanish. The centerpiece of the program is Conrad Susa's Carols and Lullabies of the American Southwest, performed with guitar, marimba, and harp; and works by Francisco Nuñez, César Alejandro Carrillo, Joan Szymko, Francisco Guerrero, and Alberto Grau.
Cynthia Powell conducts, with Taisiya Pushkar, piano; Elaine Christy, harp; Samantha Wells, guitar; Ingrid Gordon, Marimba.
We are thrilled to welcome special guests for the concert Vox Nova Girls Choir of the Special Music School, Emily John conductor.
