Music: End of the Affair by Ben Howard
Choreographer: Kanon Sapp
Dancers: Kaleigh Allen, Kristalyn Gill, Megan Anna Griffin, Ashley Hill, Jazlyn Moore
"dadt" creatively explores the former U.S. military compromise, 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell', which stated that military applicants should not be asked about their sexual orientation. Asking or speaking of someone's sexual orientation could result in dishonorable discharge. Former President Ronald Regan, who initially began the military compromise, believed that "homosexuality is incompatible with military service."
NOTE: This performance includes three shows: "Cassiopeia," "conversations underwater," and "dadt."

Emerging Artists returns with their one-of-a-kind festival. Visit the theater any evening during this three-week event, and you'll find yourself transported in a number of surprising ways: by a single performer embodying a whole host of characters; by a more experimental theater piece "done differently" that challenges and delights; by a cozy two-person show exploring relationships; or perhaps by a bouncy new musical that will have you humming. Emerging Artists has always been about new works, new talents, new voices. That's never been more evident than now.
