March Farm-to-Table Dinner
Beginning 17 March until 20 October, Michael's Genuine Food & Drink's island partners with Slow Food South Sound to host family-style dinners celebrating the island's local ingredients and the people responsible for producing and harvesting them. It's all in a continuing effort to support local agriculture and promote responsible food sourcing on-island.
The festivities begin at 7:00 p.m. with a welcome cocktail and four course dinner with wine pairings by sommelier Sean Kerby as an optional supplement. Slow Food Members' price is discounted at 10%. All ticket prices are all-inclusive (gratuity is included.)
Menu Welcome cocktail HD: - Heirloom tomato bruschetta 1st course: Antipasto platter: - house-cured ham, house smoked wahoo rillette - Oven dried tomatoes, marinated peppers, eggplant caponata, pickled radish - Grilled sourdough 2nd course: - Arugula salad_ homemade pancetta, roasted okra, pumpkin, toasted sunflower seeds - Young coconut salad_ grilled shrimp, watercress, shave shallots, soy-lime vinaigrette, avocado 3rd course: - Spicy grilled beef_ sweet potato salad, grilled scallion, peppers, roasted carrots, soft-boiled egg, mustard green sauce - Pan roasted wahoo_ roasted tomato and fennel ragout, nicoise olives, lemon aioli Dessert: Coconut-guava cake, Frozen guava yogurt
