State Bicycle Presents: BÖIKZMÖIND & EMPIRE

FilmBar and STATE BICYCLE CO. have teamed up to bring you a fixed-gear cycling triple-feature!

BÖIKZMÖIND is a 30 minute documentary film about riding fixed gear bikes in beautiful Bristol. The film shows the diverse cross section of riders and asks why ride bikes with no gears in a city full of hills. It also shines a light on the community and camaraderie that comes with the simple joy of riding bicycles.

Wolfpack Hustle: Marathon Crash Race 2
Of any city in the world, the sprawling City of Angels is best known for it's dependence on the automobile. However, once a year for 6 hours the city closes down 26 miles of Los Angeles' most congested arteries for the LA Marathon. Unbeknownst to city officials, at 4 AM over 400 cyclists took to the streets to race the closed course, led by by LA's Wolfpack Hustle. While the runners were still nestled in their beds, the riders claimed the streets as their own, weaving through the city, unhindered, on such normally traffic-laden roads as Sunset and Hollywood Boulevards.

Adding to the already hugely popular All City Team Race and Midnight Drag Race, The Marathon Crash Race, is the newest Wolfpack race concept. In it's debut it became one of the largest unsanctioned street races in the world. This year, even more people travelled from out-of-state to challenge L.A.'s best on their home turf and try to take the coveted 1st place dog tags out of LA for the first time. This is street athleticism at it's finest.
