Civic Design: Staged Transparency
A panel discussion with leaders in design and city government will share their goals and strategies for creating spaces for the public to engage with civic buildings and institutions.
City buildings have transformed from styles of strength and permanence through solid and powerful structures to a more transparent and inviting building to draw the public into the processes. Panel members will include Craig Curtis, Partner at The Miller Hull Partnership, Bill Valdez, Principal at DLR Group, and Sally Clark, President of the Seattle City Council. Norie Sato, member of the Seattle Design Commission and lead artist for Seattle's new Link light rail, will moderate the discussion.
