Finding Home
Developed around the theme "Finding Home," the immigrant experience of many is shared through Bharata Natyam, classical dance of India and western modern dance. The performance features new dances by young choreographer, Aravinda Tota, a second generation Indian born and raised in USA who has created contemporary works using the wide movement of modern western dance yet based in the intimacy of Indian classical dance. "Finding Home" is a discovery of self as one moves from the original homeland to elsewhere and in this case from India to USA. "Finding Home" will be presented in an intimate studio performance.
