Panoply Performance Lab - NATURE FETISH
The Panoply Performance Laboratory (PPL)'s new opera NATURE FETISH is for seven-year-olds and scientists, a performance that combines artistic mediums into a hybrid event made of music, text, actions, movements, objects, space, and situations.
The piece ultimately performs theories about "the nature of nature" devised from the philosophies of collaborating artists and "non artists" alike, with whom we performed collective research into our conceptions, internal diagrams, and experiences through public workshops at University Settlement. In performance of the final piece, we offer the strange, the scientific, the ideological, the philosophical, the material, and the spiritual understandings of nature held by individuals
