Uphill Both Ways presents: Insurance?!? We Don't Need Insur-AAAHHHH!!!
Nationally acclaimed sketch comedy team Uphill Both Ways is back with their newest show INSURANCE?!? WE DONT NEED INSUR-AAAHHHH!!! featuring over a dozen brand new comedy sketches. One needs only to look at their new poster, showing an unlucky skydiver whose backpack was accidentally filled with live chickens instead of a parachute, to get a taste of their absurdist fare.
Voted "Best Comedy Act" in the 2007 SF Weekly "Best of San Francisco" Readers Poll, Uphill Both Ways shows combine wickedly clever writing with unforgettable high-energy performances. INSURANCE?!? WE DONT NEED INSUR-AAAHHHH!!! includes the stories of an animatronic Albanian boy working at Disneyland's "It's A Small World" ride, the parenting dilemma of asexually reproducing amoebae, a scientific comparison of homo erectus and homo fabulous, and Angela Lansburys torturous life after "Murder She Wrote"...and so much more!
ABOUT UPHILL BOTH WAYS: Always hyperactive, provocative, and smart, Uphill Both Ways boasts over 150 performances in ten North American cities since January of 2002. They have graced over a dozen local Bay Area venues and have been the official selection of several international comedy festivals including NYCs Big Red Comedy Festival (2003, 2004), San Francisco Sketchfest (2004, 2007), Chicago Sketchfest (2005, 2006), D.C. Comedyfest (2006, 2007), Atlanta Improv Festival (2005), Dallas Comedy Festival (2005), L.A.s Fest of Sketch (2005) and International Sketch Comedy Championship (2006, 2007), and the Lowell Comedy Festival (2006) in Massachusetts. UBW was honored to be selected for the "Best of the Fest" show at Vancouvers CanWest ComedyFest (2005), performing on the same bill with Late Night with David Lettermans Eddie Brill and Kids In The Halls Scott Thompson. Their films have received over a quarter of a million hits on YouTube.com, and have been seen at various short comedy film festivals in San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, Washington D.C. and Toronto.
