Garden Explorers Afterschool - Spring 2012
Discover the world of plants, gardening and food at the Old Stone House.
Wednesdays, March 28 to June 6
No session April 11th
12 sessions $325
3:30 to 5:30 pm
In the beautiful gardens surrounding the Old Stone House and the new JJ Byrne playground!
Students will:
- transpant flowers and herbs
- study insects and garden dwellers
- use garden tools to prepare the garden for spring planting
- start seeds indoors and outdoors
- use wood and paints to make gardensigns
- harvest herbs and vegetables
- make garden related art and crafts projects
- prepare simple foods
- play lots of games
