Frankenstein: The Trouble Puppet Show

"Whimsical," "hilarious, "amazing" --Austin Theatre Examiner

Frankenstein: The Trouble Puppet Show is a smart, spooky, and very funny work of puppet theater, adapted from Mary Shelley's classic novel by Trouble Puppet Artistic Director Connor Hopkins. Departing from both the original novel and its many subsequent adaptations, this production spins a tale of steampunk science that escapes from an abandoned Romanian asylum and makes its way over land and through the sewers to Paris during the Reign of Terror.

The show is created by the company (a mainstay of Chronicle Top-10 lists) that brought Austin award-winning productions of The Jungle, Riddley Walker, Toil and Trouble, The Cruel Circus, The Head, The Crapstall Street Boys, Hyde & Jekyll, and Wars of Heaven.

**Halloween Party after the show 10/31! Come in costume!**

**Double feature on 11/13 with the Invincible Czars. After our show, the Czars will show the film Nosferatu and play their awesome, original live score.**

ASL interpretation by Emily Niswonger 11/13, 8pm.

Group sales welcome. Director/cast talkbacks available for groups of five or more.

**Not created for children. Probably OK for ages 11+.**
