Please join the New England Classical Singers, the NECS Chamber Orchestra, and guest soloists as we explore the arduous journey and ultimate victory of the Easter story. In contrast to the effervescence and purity of the opening Christmas portion, Part II of Handel's masterpiece a much darker musical palette. Handel brilliantly weaves a narrative of pain and anguish inherent in the events of Holy Week, and ultimately leads us to a glorious celebration of the Resurrection with the triumphant Hallelujah chorus.
