Summer Classics Series Presents A Molière Medley
A Molière Medley
Molière's zaniness has directly or indirectly inspired the Marx Brothers, Laurel & Hardy, Bugs Bunny and many others. Yet behind the laughs are lessons for those who would, to paraphrase Pascal, pretend they are total angels only to end up being complete asses. In our Molière Medley, we'll be presenting short scenes from well-known (The Bourgeois Gentleman, Don Juan) and obscure (Lover's Quarrels) Molière plays that offer equal doses of bunnies (Bugs) and asses. Come and be amazed and amused at what the genius of Molière can do with the ridiculous that is in all of us.
Summer Classics productions are well rehearsed staged readings, providing theatrical greats at affordable prices. This production is directed by famed French/English dramatist, Greg Chabot.
