Running and Winning Campaigns with NationBuilder
Just showing up online with a Twitter and an Instagram account doesn't count as a digital strategy. Modern online campaigns require finesse, and a thoughtfully laid out plan for engaging with folks online. Whether you're a non-profit working to raise the profile of an issue or you're a new candidate for local office: NationBuilder gives you the tools you need to set you apart from the herd when it comes to turning an online presence into real world wins.

But: "how?" you may ask, or perhaps "can I really do it all by myself"? The good news is you can do it, and you don't even need to be an IT wizard to get the job done. Join cStreet Campaigns for a deep dive into what decides if an online campaign blows up the internet, or tanks entirely. You'll come out the other side with a firm grasp of what it actually takes to take a campaign from the drawing board to the front page of the newspaper, and the tech skills to back it up too.

What will I learn?

  • Industry standard NationBuilder best practices for setting up the right user flows for incoming leads.

  • Automating common processes, and reducing duplication

  • Targeting new joins from social media

  • Optimizing your emails and pages for deliverability and conversions

  • How to get your list to take action above normal attrition rates

  • How to target an effective online campaign

  • Google Analytics with NationBuilder

Who's it for?

  • Online campaigners

  • Advocacy organizations

  • Unions and union locals

  • Political campaigns

  • Candidates for nomination

  • Community organizers

  • Event planners

What should I bring?

A laptop. Your campaign team. Your own data if you want to play with it.

Who are Josh and Stefan?

Josh is the President of cStreet Campaigns, a digital campaigns firm based in Toronto with clients around the world. He specializes in using the organizing platform NationBuilder to help non-profits, unions, and elected officials revamp their digital programs. Since founding cStreet in 2012 Josh has helped over 4 dozen organizations run more effective campaigns by integrating advanced targeting, supporter engagement measurement, and digital field programs to their organizing campaigns.

A Vancouver based campaign strategist, Stefan works on various political and advocacy campaigns to achieve a progressive vision for our communities at home, and abroad. He specializes in distributed campaigning through the NationBuilder platform, growing and activating bases of support through data informed digital tactics. When he's not at cStreet he's enthusiastically embroiled in the largest NationBuilder deployment in Canada, working with the Leadnow VoteTogether campaign to stop the Harper conservatives and move Canada forward in the next federal election.
