Blood Sky
As Joley looks back on the events that have shaped her life, her past comes alive on stage. As the memories of her abusive childhood, her journey to escape it, and the charming man in the white suit who's at the heart of it all come rushing back to her, Joley struggles to take control of her past, and to keep it from defining her future.
From acclaimed playwright Yasmine Beverly Rana, whose play The Fallen was a featured reading in the 2011 New Works at New Stage Festival, Blood Sky is a provocative and moving work that New Stage is proud to present as part of the 2012 International Women's Month.
Following the Sunday matinees, there will be a talk back featuring director Mari Andrejco, the cast, and a representative of the Elizabeth Freeman Center. Playwright Yasmine Beverly Rana will be in attendance for the March 11th talk back.
Purchase of a ticket to the opening night performance includes admittance to the premiere party taking place after the show, benefiting the Elizabeth Freeman center. Tickets for opening night are $45.
