Explore the traditions of the Japanese tea ceremony in a 90-minute program that includes a tour of The Huntington's ceremonial teahouse, Seifu-an, and its surrounding tea garden, followed by a participatory tea ceremony in the Ikebana House. $20. General Huntington admission is required for non-members.
The 90-minute cultural experience for small groups will be offered at intervals throughout the afternoon, including participation in a traditional tea ceremony with each guest receiving a seasonal sweet and bowl of whisked matcha (powdered green tea).
Please check-in at the Registration Table in front of the Brody Botanical Center at least 15 minutes prior to the start of your tea experience to receive your tickets & registration materials. Please allow sufficient time to walk from the parking lot and admission area to the Brody Botanical Center where the tour starts.
