3rd Annual Mozart Birthday Toast

Town Hall's third annual Mozart Birthday Toast features two of the composer's most beloved chamber works - the Piano Quartet in G Minor, K. 478, and the Sonata in B-flat Major for violin and piano, K. 454 along with his sprightly and youthful Sonata in D Major for piano, four hands, K. 381, and his unusually romantic Adagio in B Minor for piano, K. 540. For this year's musical celebration, pianist Byron Schenkman, described in The New York Times as "an elegant stylist with a cleanly articulated sound," is joined by Clara Kim, violinist of the Netherlands-based Trio de Kooning; Elizabeth Oakes, violist of the Maia Quartet; cellist Rajan Krishnaswami of Simple Measures; and distinguished Seattle pianist Rachel Matthews. Admission includes complimentary chocolates and sparkling beverages as well as chances to win prizes. Presented by Town Hall.
