Comedians of New York for Afghan Women Writers Poetry Event- 2pm Performance
Female comedians perform pieces written by women in Afghanistan, as part of the Afghan Women's Writing Project, in co-production with Magic Futurebox. All proceeds go towards supporting AWWP and its women writers in Afghanistan.
This poetry event features an installation Please be prepared to stand for 45 minutes.
You will experience the isolation of storytelling for women in Afghanistan. Each performer, in a small, sectioned off space of her own, will delight and inspire you with various poetry pieces.
Small reception and Q&A afterwards.
