2012 Rails To Ales Brewfest
"Taste On Down the Line!" Beer Sampling party at the Depot and Railyard! Make tracks and bring your taste for Pacific Northwest microbrews, festival foods, wine and great live music into the station at the 5th Annual Rails-To-Ales Brewfest! Similar to last year's lineup of nineteen regional breweries and hard cider producers, they will be pouring samples of their finest brews in the unique setting of the Milwaukee Road Depot and Railyard in South Cle Elum, WA. (Check www.RailsToAlesBrewfest.com for the complete brewery list.) As an alternative beverage, a couple of wineries and hard cider producers will also be pouring samples, but the main focus is on the beer. Food vendors, games and prizes will once again round out the festivities.
Getting There: Centrally located, there's easy summertime access from any direction. From the Seattle area, just a scenic hour or so I-90 Corridor drive east through the Cascades brings you right to the recently restored historic depot. Map and full directions at www.RailsToAlesBREWFEST.com
Entertainment: Live music from 2 bands provide the party atmosphere while you chug on down the line. Starring "Free Rain" - Seattle's #1 Rock Party Band, along with Easton's own Mr. E. Band. Food: 4-5 Food vendors will be on site with tasty complements to the brews and tunes.
Railroad Theme: Relive the history of railroad glory days and the Milwaukee Road through an easy short interpretive trail hike around the railyard and a visit to the depot's museum filled with railroad relics and memorabilia. Visitors delight at the scale model replica on display.
