Music in the Gallery - Beau Soir Ensemble
Please join us for a delightfully diverse and memorable concert followed by a wine & cheese reception in Ulrika Leander's beautiful tapestry studio in Royal Oak/Bellevue, near the Ferry.
The Beau Soir Ensemble (Carrie Rose, flute; Michelle Myers Lundy, harp) will be joined by special guest Wes Nichols on oboe and English horn. These three friends channel their enjoyment of music and each other into a dynamic connection and lively introductions to the featured musical offerings. They will play a varied program of classical pieces by Ravel, Faure, Ibert, and Telemann; a 'hold onto your hat' contemporary piece by Musgrave; a Lullaby inspired by Irish music and a car ride in the rain; a suite of traditional Irish tunes; and a set of traditional Swedish tunes in honor of our gallery host, Ulrika Leander. Recent performance highlights include the Kennedy Center, Harman Center for the Arts, the Arts Club of Washington, and Dumbarton House.
