Plot:
Religion, politics, sex and death combine in this Pulitzer prize-winning play about an HIV Patient who begins to hear voices and see visions but are they hallucinations or are they real? Set during the 1980's in the second Reagan administration, Angels in America is a swirling kaleidoscope of ghosts, dreams, political plots, disasters, and unexpected miracles. Angels in America is a play that asks who the Angels in America really are. Recommended for mature audiences only.
The second half of Tony Kushner's Pulitzer Prize-winning epic. "Angels in America, Perestroika" steers the characters introduced in "Millennium Approaches" from the opportunistic eighties to a new sense of community in the nineties. "Not only a stunning resolution of the resounding human drama of "Millennium Approaches, " but also a true millennial work of art."--Frank Rich, "The New York Times".
