"My Life As A Musical"
On December 17 and 18, Austin Conservatory of Theater (ACT) and award-winning Broadway artist Adam Overett will team up to present the world-premier cabaret My Life is a Musical: The Songs of Adam Overett. Directed by Adam Roberts, the performance showcases 15 of Overett's original songs, serving up a rambunctious romp through the life and mind of an NYC writer-performer.
Advanced students from ACT will perform alongside Overett and local musical theatre artists Eve Alonzo, Joseph Banks, Libby Dees, Trevor Detling, Eric Ferguson and Lucy Jennings. All proceeds benefit the ACT Children's Theater and Conservatory Scholarship Fund, which supports Austin's youth in creating, exploring and producing all aspects of art.
The event performs twice only at The VORTEX on 2307 Manor Road:
