Sugar Glass with Yuka Otani
Join artist and MAD Open Studios alumni Yuka Otani for an afternoon workshop exploring the creative possibilities of sugar glass through the lens of art and science. This hands-on workshop covers such basic sugar manipulating techniques, as blowing, thread making, and casting. Through these processes, students have the chance to create blown sugar spheres, sugar calligraphy, and "sand-cast" objects that they can turn into amulets or vessels.
Fee includes materials.
