Portland Playback Theater presents: Fright Night! Tales of How Fear Has Shaped Our Lives/Choices, Saturday, October 3rd, 2015, 7:30pm
On Saturday, October 3rd, Portland Playback Theater wants to co-create with you a Fright Night! Tales of How Fear Has Shaped Our Lives/Choices.
"What frightens you? What keeps you up at night?" says Jackie Paris, director of the Portland Playback Theater Troupe. "You know, fear can hold a grip on us or we can be set free when we conquer it. Please bring us your words as Playback Theater is all about YOUR story. Come join the community and explore this topic with artistry, safety, and respect."
Let's watch!
About Playback Theater:
Playback Theater is an improvisational form of theater whereby audience members tell stories from their lives and watch them enacted on the spot by actors and musicians. Playback is a vehicle not only of personal expression, but a way to connect with the past and create a future. It is powerful and creative, allowing diverse voices to be heard and respected.
Public shows are:
* Original - no two shows are ever the same
* Create a comfortable forum to hear and tell personal stories
* Honors the individual voice of the story teller
* Builds community in a creative and engaging manner
* Wildly entertaining!
"It's like nothing I've ever seen -part campfire stories, part drama, dance, metaphor, comedy, and improv all mixed in with an exuberant sort of ecstatic informal community therapy!" - Audience Member
