On Borrowed Time
Gramps is idolized by his young grandson, Pud. But Gramps' rough behavior is frowned upon by both the strait-laced Aunt Demetria and Granny. When the angel of death -- in the form of Mr. Brink -- comes for Gramps, the old man tricks him into climbing the old apple tree which will not allow anyone to come down unless Gramps says they can. Death is trapped in the tree and cannot take Gramps or anyone else with him.
