RLTour 2015 Glenford -- The Lion & The Clown: A Rumi Lovesong for Beauty & the Beast
Real Live Theatre presents our original show "The Lion & The Clown: A Rumi Lovesong for Beauty & the Beast" at the Old Glenford Church Studio as we make our way around the Northeast this fall.
Tickets are $15 (online or at the door). Shows are 7pm Saturday, August 22nd and 3pm Sunday, August 23rd.
Follow Sarah (cursed into a lioness) and Faerie (the one who cursed her) as they entangle themselves in the life of a modern American down-on-its-luck circus (a Clown, a Juggler, a Wire Walker, a Ringmaster Lion-Tamer, and the Porter). Experience poetry, obscenity, and magic. Witness the power of choice and the redemptive force of love.
Written and directed by Ellen Morbyrne, original music composed and performed by Cynthia Zaitz, PhD. Amazing ensemble of actors: Toby Vera Bercovici, Rachel Hall, Kate Hare, Trenda Loftin, Dan Morbyrne, Alberto Carlos Peart, Michael Pray.
