Home, Far and Near - Night #3 | Family Style Open Mic
This fall, Asian Arts Initiative is bringing together
a team of today's most talented and innovative
Asian American performers in our HOME, FAR AND NEAR, festival of Asian American Performance! The entire ensemble (Krystal Banzon, Kennedy Kabasares, Traci Kato-Kiriyama, Soomi Kim, Katie Hae Leo, Gein Wong, and Philly favorites Makoto Hirano and Anula Shetty) will investigate diverse experiences of immigration, body, family, and "home, far and near" through a weeklong series of ensemble workshops and share what they have learned and created together at Asian Arts Initiative's FAMILY STYLE OPEN MIC on Friday November 18.
As usual, Family Style Open Mic will be hosted by spoken word duo Yellow Rage. The stage is open to all who are interested in performing. Come and be part of the always unique sharing of stories, song, dance, poetry, and more! Sign up in advance for a 5-minute open mic spot here:

Food will be generously provided at the pre-show reception by Erawan Thai Cuisine - Chinatown (Season Sponsor). Pre-show reception (free) starts at 6:45pm, show starts at 7:30pm.
