the feath3r theory Presents: Another 37 Reasons To Cry (a Warholian production)
This new ensemble piece for nine dancers by choreographer/performer Raja Feather Kelly follows a Warholian approach to form, using movement that is highly demanding physically, and at the same time unedited, raw, and true-to-life. Kelly takes inspiration from film noir to create a work that is dark, minimalist, mysterious and cinematic. At the same time, he uses the stark form to give voice to real people telling real stories, looking to reveal real reasons why the American Dream is ending, and why we - as individuals and as a society - should cry.

RAJA FEATHER KELLY is a dancer, choreographer and the founder of the feath3r theory (TF3T), his New York-based dance theater company established in 2009. The artistic philosophy of Tf3T is built upon the principle of understanding dance as a visual and theatrical art form, in which the aesthetics and ethics of each work play an equally important part. The ensemble consists of an alterable ensemble of dancers/performers and a group of close collaborators, contributing to the visual and musical content of each work. Another 37 Reasons To Cry is the latest in the choreographer's Warhol-driven series. Previous works in this series include the feath3r theory Presents: Andy Warhol's 25 Cats Name SAM and One Blue Pussy, the feath3r theory Presents: Andy Warhol's DRELLA (I Love You Faye Driscoll), and the feath3r theory Presents: Andy Warhol's 15: (Color Me, Warhol).
