Restoration
This film is as carefully crafted as the antique furniture
Yaakov Fidelman (Sasson Gabai, The Band's Visit)
restores. We trace the shifting bonds between
Yaakov; his son Noah; and Anton, the secretive new
assistant. Yaakov and Anton restore a 100 year old
Steinway, while creating a father-son dynamic that
tests the relationship between Yaakov and Noah.
Major awards from Sundance Film Festival, Karlovy
Vary International Film Festival, and Jerusalem Film
Festival. Restoration was recently nominated for 11
Ophir (Israeli Academy Award) nominations including
Best Picture and Best Director.
