Fundraising: Tried and True Strategies for Success
You can't beat the tried and true strategy for fundraising: personal solicitationasking for money from individuals, corporations and foundations that support your mission. "No money, no mission" is absolutely true. No one is born knowing how to ask for money. It is an art and its one that you can enjoy and learn. Volunteers,board members, and staff can and all must get in on it. Asking for money requires understanding fundamental fundraising concepts and thenpractice, practice, practice. This workshop is designed to cover the essential principles and encouragement to practice. It is recommended that each organization be represented with at least two participants, preferably at least one board member.
