Be A Mushroom Maestro
Local mushroom farmers, Mushroom Maestros, will lead Alameda Natural Grocery's next First Friday event with a workshop on how to grow your own mushrooms. Green thumbs & gourmands alike will find this class an informative & rewarding introduction to mycology. Mushroom Maestros grow mushrooms at their Oakland farm using a method of cultivation on pasteurized straw & you'll learn how to do the same. Attendees will receive a free growing kit which includes the inoculated substrate & instructions.
