Backlash, a Southern Gothic tale, follows Gregory von Portz and Ashley King as they escape the bonds of success in New York and migrate South in hopes of warm weather and warm people. Utilizing elements of rock concert, cabaret, poetry slam, and performance art, the pair tell their story of long summer evenings, magnolias, mint juleps, and oppression.
