Abandoned Queen, Mad King (or Fatal Attraction)
[;PLEASE NOTE THE PROGRAM CHANGE];; Evening #9 at the 2015 Staunton Music Festival offers a riveting evening featuring Purcell's Dido and Aeneas. In the first half enjoy a Bach harpsichord concerto, Stravinsky's L'Histoire du Soldat, and Vladimir Mendelssohn's brilliant arrangement for piano sextet of Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture. Acclaimed chamber musicians perform. Ticket holders are invited to the free pre-concert talk at 6:30pm.
