A cloistered orphan-girl orchestra. The canals, palaces, and pageants of baroque Venice. A jealous music teacher. The composer-priest Antonio Vivaldi. At center, the brilliant young violinist, Gabriella. Haunted by the mother who abandoned her, clashing with her teacher, Gabriella searches for a kindred spirit, love and identity beyond her violin.
