Juan Gonzalez and Joseph Torres, in Conversation with Tina Griego of the Denver
Juan Gonzalez, co-host of Democracy Now!, and Joseph Torres of Free Press will visit Denver on their US book tour as a benefit for KGNU. The are touring in support of their book 'News for All the People: the Epic Story of Race and the American Media.'
Juan Gonzalez has been a professional journalist for more than 30 years and a staff columnist at the New York Daily News since 1987. He is a two-time recipient of the George Polk Award for commentary (1998 and 2010).
Joseph Torres is a senior adviser for the national media reform group Free Press. Before joining Free Press, he worked as deputy director at the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and was a journalist for several years.
