Kikelomo Adedeji's "Tolula"
The Marsh presents Kikelomo Adedeji's "Tolula," in which, when Rafi, her much-younger illegal immigrant boyfriend returns south of the border, a heartbroken artist seeks solace in beautiful Tolula, New Mexico, population 298. Unable to paint in O'Keeffe country and unable to find even a minimum wage job, she visits Rafi in Mexico and falls in love all over again. But staying in Mexico is not an option for either of them, and to return to the U.S. Rafi will have to cross the perilous Sonora desert mid-summer.
