Family Birding and Nesting Box Building
Enjoy building a bird nesting box with your children and identify some common bird species at the Pepperwood Preserve under the expert guidance of Peter Leveque, well know Sonoma County naturalist. Each family will be provided the necessary materials to construct one box as well as instructions for placing the finished box on your property. You will also accompany Peter into the preserve to see birds and to clean existing boxes in preparation for this nesting season. Bring a cordless screwdriver if you have one, binoculars, lunch, water and appropriate clothing. Bring lunch and water and wear layered apparel and sturdy hiking shoes.
